Residential Technology Support

Computer Aid can provide you with all levels of support for your computer(s), network and other technology needs.

Most residential customers bring faulty technology equipment to our building, but if you can’t bring it in we can pick it up, before taking it away from your premises we will perform a quick diagnosis as we may be able to fix things on the spot, however we prefer to work on all computers in our workshop where possible as we have all of the required tools/resources available.

Computer Aid are well aware that viruses and malware can be a real problem for our residential customers and that is why we run (depending on your issue) at least 3 removal programs on your computer and then again upon any detection(s). We also make sure that your antivirus software is updated, your firewall is operating and that all Microsoft and Windows critical/security updates have been installed to ensure continued protection.

We can setup secure remote access to your computer and telephone for ongoing support and also come to your premises to do internet, printer and network setups.

If your desktop or laptop PC fails, often the data is still stored and available on your machine. Computer Aid can transfer your data to either another computer or onto an external hard disk drive, memory stick/flash drive, CD, DVD, etc. If the computer hard disk drive is damaged and the data needs to be recovered we can perform a first level recovery. If that is unsuccessful we can use our specialised data recovery partner to get as much data back as possible.
